Meet Giuliano and Zara

Giuliano, a tech professional, and Zara, a makeup artist, were inspired by the historical Malt House that once stood on their site. Their goal was to seamlessly blend the old and new together, reinstating the historical whilst adding a twist of modern luxury. They discovered Naturewall early in the process and instantly knew it was the perfect partner to bring their vision to life.

"We really wanted to collaborate and work with brands that were also small businesses or family run."

In the Kitchen

Product: SlatWall Walnut

The kitchen is where Giuliano and Zara spend most of their time. He cooks, and she loves to entertain. To turn the functional aspects of the kitchen into a standout feature, they chose SlatWall Walnut. These panels were used to create a sophisticated bar area, cleverly hiding bulky ventilation pipes. The warm, rich tones of Walnut wood offered the perfect blend of practicality and beauty, effortlessly transforming a necessity into a statement.

In the Bedroom

Product: SlatWall Deep Walnut (Master Bedroom) & SlatWall Walnut (Second Bedroom)

The master bedroom is Giuliano and Zara's personal sanctuary. They wanted this space to be luxurious and comforting, while the second bedroom needed to feel equally inviting for guests. They chose SlatWall Deep Walnut for the master bedroom—its rich, dark tones created an intimate, cosy atmosphere, perfect for unwinding at the end of the day. In the second bedroom, they opted for the classic SlatWall Walnut, maintaining a similar aesthetic but with slightly lighter hues that create a more open feel. The subtle difference between the Deep Walnut and Walnut panels allowed them to establish distinct yet connected atmospheres across these rooms.

In the Study

Product: SlatWall Smoked Oak

For the study, Giuliano and Zara opted for SlatWall Smoked Oak to enhance focus and tranquility. The darker, smokey tones added warmth and depth, turning this working space into a comfortable, stylish nook. One of the major benefits they found was the sound-dampening properties of the panels, providing the quiet they needed to concentrate without distraction—perfect for their work-from-home days.

"The panels have acoustic properties, which makes the study feel so much more private and enclosed."

In the Gym

Product: SlatWall Charcoal

The home gym required something bold, and SlatWall Charcoal provided just the right impact. With its deep, moody color, it aligned perfectly with their dark, minimalist gym design. Beyond aesthetics, the acoustic properties of the panels were particularly valuable here—absorbing noise to keep the rest of the house peaceful during high-energy workouts. This combination of style and function made the gym both practical and visually striking.

In the Bathroom

Products: Reeded Waterproof Walnut & Reeded Waterproof Natural Oak

The bathrooms in Giuliano and Zara’s home needed a touch of nature, but also required durability for a wet environment. For this, they chose Reeded Waterproof, perfect for achieving a luxurious, spa-like feeling. The lightness of Natural Oak brightened smaller spaces, while the Walnut provided contrast in areas that needed a bit more depth. This addition of a Reeded profile gives extra detail in smaller areas, such as inside the shelving. This added a unique texture that elevated the space, providing a stylish and practical solution for moisture-prone rooms.

"The wood accents bring amazing sophistication and texture to different rooms. I love how each space feels distinct but unified."

Why did they choose Naturewall?

For Giuliano and Zara, Naturewall played an integral part in making their vision a reality. From the seamless finish of the panels to the quality craftsmanship that ensured easy installation, even for a couple still learning their DIY skills. It’s the warmth, texture, and natural elegance brought by Naturewall that makes their house feel like the holiday retreat they always wanted. They now have a home that’s modern yet timeless, comfortable yet sophisticated.
